Import products

Under Products you will find Import CSV. Use it for a first catalogue and for bulk updates later.

The file

Save your spreadsheet as CSV (comma separated, UTF-8). The first row holds the column names. Column order does not matter; you map the columns after uploading.

What matters:

• SKU or slug identifies the product. A row whose SKU already exists updates that product instead of creating a second one, so you can re-import a corrected file safely.
• Price in euros, with a dot or a comma. Whether that is including or excluding VAT follows your setting under Settings, Tax & invoicing.
• Stock is opening stock. Ripbase turns it into a received purchase, so your stock has a cost price and your margin is right from day one. Leave it empty if you will enter real purchases yourself.
• Category and collection are matched by name and created if they do not exist yet.

After the import

Check Products with the Is active filter off: an imported product without a price or an image is easy to spot. Use Bulk edit on a selection to fix prices, VAT or categories in one action.

Export

Export CSV gives you the same shape back, filters included. Handy as a backup before a big change.
