The admin on your phone

Your admin can sit on your phone's home screen like an app: it opens full screen, without the browser bar, and at a fair the POS is one tap away. You don't need the App Store or Google Play. You add it from the browser, once per phone.

iPhone and iPad

1. Open your admin in Safari and sign in.
2. Tap Share. If you don't see it, tap ••• first.
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. If you see Open as Web App, leave it on. Tap Add.

The icon is Ripshop's R, with your shop's name and "Admin" under it. You can change the name before you tap Add.

The app keeps its own sign-in, apart from Safari: sign in once inside it, with your two-factor code.

Android

1. Open your admin in Chrome and sign in.
2. Tap the menu (⋮) next to the address bar.
3. Tap Add to home screen or Install app. The name differs between Chrome versions.
4. Tap Install.

Press and hold the icon to go straight to the POS.

Your customers

Customers can put your shop on their home screen the same way. They see your own icon there, the one under Settings, Branding, Icon. Make it square, and 180 pixels or more keeps it sharp on a phone.
