Pre-orders

A pre-order sells against stock you have ordered but not received.

1. In Stock, Purchases, enter the purchase with status Ordered and the quantity you expect.
2. On the product, switch Pre-order on and fill in the expected date.
3. The shop shows it as a pre-order with that date, and buyers can pay for it now.

When the goods arrive you set the purchase to Received. Ripbase then settles the waiting orders in the order they were paid, so the first buyer gets the first box. What is left over becomes normal stock, and the pre-order flag switches itself off.

Orders waiting for stock have their own tab in the order list, so you always know who is still waiting.
