Import products
Bring your sealed catalog in from a spreadsheet in one go.
Products, Import. Upload a CSV, then match its columns to Ripshop's under Columns. Download example CSV file in the same window gives you a file in the right shape.
The columns
- Name is required. SKU is how a product is found again: a row whose SKU already exists updates that product. Without a SKU, a row updates the product with the same name.
- Price is required for new products, in your shop's currency. A dot or a comma both work; leave out thousands separators. Like every price in Ripshop, it includes VAT.
- Sale price must be lower than the price, or the row fails.
- Category and Set are matched by name and made if they do not exist yet.
- Language is
enorjp. - Opening stock, Cost per unit and Margin scheme become one received purchase for the whole import, so your stock has a cost price from day one. Opening stock counts only for products the import creates: importing the same file again leaves the stock alone.
The other columns (VAT rate, max per customer, pre-order, expected, short description, description, active) fill the fields of the same name.
After the import
A notification says how many rows went in. Failed rows can be downloaded from it with the reason.
Tick products in the list and use Bulk actions, Change prices or Assign to fix a batch at once, or Edit in grid to type through them.
Export
Export asks which products: what the list shows now, only what you ticked, or all of them. The file arrives as a notification.
