Pre-orders

A pre-order sells stock you have ordered but not received.

1. On the product, switch Pre-order on and set Expected.
2. Record what is coming: a purchase under Stock, Purchases with the status Ordered, or Add stock on the product with Still on order.
3. Your shop shows the product as a pre-order with the expected date, and buyers pay for it now.

Paid orders waiting for stock sit under the Pre-orders tab in Orders, and on your dashboard.

When it arrives

Press Mark as received on the purchase. Ripshop fills the waiting orders in the order they were paid, so the first buyer gets the first box. Filled orders move to To ship.

Once nothing is on order any more, Pre-order switches itself off on the product and what is left is normal stock.
