Margin and stock value

What your shelf is worth and what you make per sale.

Margin

Every order line keeps the cost it used at the moment of sale, and that never changes. The order page shows Profit on goods with the cost under it.

Analytics, tab Sales: revenue and profit per category, sales per set, profit per product and margin per supplier.

The margin scheme

Cards bought from a private person can fall under the margin scheme: VAT on your margin instead of on the whole price.

Stock, Suppliers. Set the supplier's Type to Private person.
Their purchase lines get Margin scheme switched on.
On the invoice, those lines carry VAT on the profit only.

Stock value

Stock shows what you hold at cost, per product, with margin-scheme goods counted apart.

Analytics, tab Stock: what is on the shelf and incoming, and what wants attention: Low stock, Reorder soon and Not selling.
